London Tour Bus (Year 7)
Pupils were able to consolidate their understanding of urban living and recognise what makes London what it is. During the tour they received detailed accounts of the history behind each famous London Landmark, both on the bus tour and on the Thames River Cruise. Furthermore, pupils were able to explore their own cultural assumptions and values of London and presenting authentic accounts of the attitudes, values and traditions of diverse cultures through the booklets they completed during the tour. This trip enhanced their ability to appreciate cultural diversity and accord dignity and respect to other people's values and beliefs, thereby challenging racism and valuing race equality.
